On Friday, we held another workshop for young people without parental care who are soon leaving home care😊 The project “Independent, but not alone” is realized by our “Center for the Improvement of Society” in cooperation with @centar_zvezda This time, the topic of the educational workshop was communication. We learned different ways of communication, as well as the effects we achieve with an assertive approach to the problem! After the workshop, we ate donuts that were made in the House of Opportunities⭐️ Many thanks to @mona_official_page for the workshop, it was very interesting and useful for the young people!❤️

20 godina projekta “Stariji brat, starija sestra”

@fondacija_sbss

The celebration of the 20th anniversary of the project for vulnerable children, called “Older Brother, Older Sister” was held in Sarajevo on November 20. And he was celebrated by his colleagues from the NARKO NE association and the “Older Brother, Older Sister” foundation. The Center for the Advancement of Society had the pleasure of attending this very important event because it itself implements the same program, called “We socialize and learn together” for children without parental care, where from January 2025, they will probably be included through 130 children from 2 to 12 years old all over Serbia! We heard the experiences of both volunteers and children, who are now big people! How important is it for a child who lives in very poor conditions, especially if he has no parents at all, to have one healthy young person who will be his EVERYTHING!!! We are really proud to do the same program, to have the opportunity to learn from those who have been doing it for decades, which only shows us that we are doing a very purposeful program! Kudos to colleagues! @fondacija_sbss

Tribina “Ko su slepa lica i kako oni vode svoj svakodnevni život”

How nice to spend a day with young people! There around 18! When you tell them about some people that we usually run away from on the street or stare at them 🙁 Thanks to our colleague and friend who is blind, Miroslav Zdravković, we established excellent cooperation with GO Zvezdara and organized the first forum on the topic – Who are blind people and how do they lead their daily lives! The wonderful young people of the pharmaceutical-physiotherapeutic school from Zvezdara had the opportunity to ask questions to these wonderful young blind people and find out everything they were interested in on this topic! It is very important that we develop empathy in young people, that they grow up as healthy individuals who will value themselves and others! Let’s all learn that disability is not contagious, because when we don’t know something, we fear it! A big thank you to Miloš Tošić, the deputy of Zvezdar GO, who seriously advocated for us to start with such tribunes!

Izlet- Sremski Karlovci i vožnja vozom

On Wednesday, November 13, our Center for the Advancement of Society organized another educational and therapeutic trip for children without parental care. This time, we took children from Zvačanska 7 aged 3 and 4, as well as children from intensive care. The little ones rode the train for the first time to Sremski Karlovac. Children’s enthusiasm for the train, rails, and travel cannot be captured well enough by any picture. In Sremski Karlovci we walked in the Dvorska Bašta park, where we played with leaves and chased 😍 Then we walked around the center, visited the church and the famous Karlovac High School❤️ We had lunch at @gostiona_4_lava where the food was excellent and the staff very pleasant! Many thanks to @srbija_voz for the free train tickets and the unforgettable experience you made possible for the little ones. Also, big thanks to @mona_official_page and @duel._beohemija for their support in this project!❤️

Program PRO

The PRO/ program is implemented by UN agencies with the Government of Serbia, with the fine support of the Swiss Development Agency – in response to the formation of regional recycling centers and the definition of a support plan for informal collectors of secondary raw materials. The “Center for the Advancement of Society” plans to provide support from the social aspect, especially in the informal education of children, through individual support and the like. Thank you to my dear colleague, Zeljko Vidanović, To the coordinator of the “Center for Digital Inclusion” with whom we already cooperate through the program of support for single parents and the distribution of chemistry for the vulnerable. And we are also glad that we will cooperate with our Radmila Ivetić from the “Food Bank”, as well as with Senida Klarć🤗
