It was a pleasure to be a guest tonight at the celebration of 30 years of work of the company BEOHEMIJA, and even greater that I had the opportunity to be one of three people who had the opportunity to address numerous dignitaries from the region! It’s not just like that, there was something important to say, hence the credit! From November 2023, the “Center for the Advancement of Society” is, so to speak, the representative of BEOHEMIA for social responsibility! During 2024, thanks to monthly financial support to our Center, we managed to expand our team, change the space, get the opportunity to hire great experts to write big projects for us! And the most important part of our contract is that we distribute aid to single families and all vulnerable groups on behalf of BEOHEMIA! So we can boast that we worked seriously, communicated with over 300 single families and provided support to those who need it the most, namely: 1. We supported 12 families across Serbia by buying stoves, machines, beds, wardrobes, windows and even helped those who are sick through therapy and physical aids! 2. We distributed 2016 packages of chemistry (powder, softeners, products for floors and containers): 2.1 to 9 municipalities to the Red Cross organization 2.2 out of 8 homes for children without parental care 2.3 on 12 associations 2.4 individually for 44 vulnerable families throughout Serbia! Through these two actions, we visited 12 cities in Serbia! Thanks to Beohemij for everything it does through social responsibility, and kudos to us for our responsibility and results!

What a wonderful day is behind us! Our “Center for the Advancement of Society” organized an educational and therapeutic trip around Serbia as part of the project to support children without parental care “We socialize and learn together”. There were 35 children from as many as three Belgrade homes and 17 volunteers on the trip. We spent the day phenomenally, with lots of laughter and fun, and we saw the beautiful landscapes of Serbia and learned all sorts of new things! We visited the Krupajsko vrelo, where the children walked by the water, climbed to the waterfall and enjoyed watching the fish that are there 😊 Then we visited the Resava cave where our little ones showed how brave they are! We toured the entire cave and learned what stalactites and stalagmites are! We had lunch at the “Zlatna mušmula” restaurant, where the wonderful employees prepared delicious food for us, and the children also got ice cream!😍 Finally, we visited the Manasija monastery. Finally, we realized a meeting with colleagues from “Children’s Village”, a home for children without parental care, which is really conceived as one big family! The occasion is wonderful, and it is the expansion of the “Let’s get together and learn together” project, a program of individual support for children without parental care and in this home❤️ We have made a draft and the first step and we will soon start with the implementation! Thank you to the colleagues who implement countless educational and creative activities in this home, but they are also very interested in this program because they are sure that this kind of concept is incredibly useful, especially for young people from 14 to 18 years old (which we have not done so far). So they gave us a task, and we believe we can do it, to cover small children as well as young people, a total of 75 of them❤️ Thanks to the company BLACK ROCK, which financially supports this program!

The “Center for the Improvement of Society” successfully continues the program for the independence of young people without parental care under the name “Independent but not alone” and as a partner of the program holder “Center for the Integration of Youth ZVEZDA”. For 20 young people who are leaving the social protection system, or more precisely leaving the home, we organized an introduction to their mentors, and the entire process of their first meeting was conducted by the HR firm “TACK&TMI GLOBAL”. The young people had a great time through interactive games, and as an epilogue to the whole process, the first pairs of mentors and mentees were formed. The basic idea of ​​the program is that young people who left the system a few years ago, those who already faced all the fears and adversities after leaving home because they had no one and nothing, be mentors to the young people who are now leaving the system! They should help young people to fit into the local community as easily as possible and successfully start an independent life, to avoid many pitfalls that the “old locals” went through! A wonderful group, exceptional young people, whom you would never say live in a home, beautiful, well-dressed, hard-working, some of them are already working, and they achieve all this themselves and move forward! Many thanks to Radisson Collection Hotel, Old Mill Belgrade who provided us with his wonderful space to work for free, as well as food and drinks! We invite all donors to get involved because the funds for this program are currently limited We do not have, but we provide HUGE support to these young people without parents who grow up alone in foster care, most of them from birth

In order to support our students/practitioners in working with children without parental care, we try to organize as regular supervisions as possible in order to analyze the results, examples of good practice (for which they are responsible) and solve dilemmas in their work so that they can be even better! Today we supervised 17 of them, we are waiting for the rest on Zoom in the coming days 🙂
