Održan je redovan supervizijski sastanak sa mentorima koji rade sa mentijima iz doma za decu bez roditeljskog staranja u sklopu projekta Samostalan ali ne sam, koji sprovodi Centar ZVEZDA u saradnji sa Centrom za unapređenje društva i Centrom za zaštitu odojčadi, dece i omladine iz  Zvečanske 7.

Po prvi put su se mladi koji su nekada bili u domu našli u ulozi  mentora mladima koji se pripremaju za izlazak iz doma.

Iako je ovo bio veliki izazov za sve, mentori su se posvetili poslu i ozbiljno shvatili svoj zadatak, što nas naročito ohrabruje da se postaramo da ovakav vid podrške postane praksa.

A regular supervisory meeting was held with mentors working with mentees from the institution for children without parental care as part of the “Independent but Not Alone” project held by the Center ZVEZDA in collaboration with the Center for Society Advancement and the Center for the Protection of Infants, Children, and Youth at Zvečanska 7.

For the first time, young individuals who were once in the the facility for children without parential care found themselves in the role of mentors to those preparing to leave the institution.

Despite being a significant challenge for everyone involved, the mentors dedicated themselves to the task and took it seriously. This particularly encourages us to ensure that this form of support becomes a standard practice.

Na veću u domu za decu bez roditeljskog staranja Centar za unapređenje društva predstavio je kolegama svoj rad i benefite rada sa malom decom i mladima koji se pripremaju da napiste sistem socijalne zaštite. Govorilo se više o projektima koje je pokrenuo naš Centar samostalno i u saradnji sa Centrom Zvezda.

Došli smo do zaključka da su benefiti mnogobrojni i da nam ostaje da se potrudimo da „velikoj deci“ pomognemo što više u procesu prilagođavanja.

Zahvaljujemo se direktorki i kolegama iz doma koji su nas ugostili na Veću.

March 31st, 2023, The presentation of programs created by the Center for Society Advancement independently and in collaboration with the Center ZVEZDA

At the council meeting in the facility  for children without parental care, the Center for Society Advancement presented its work and the benefits of working with young children and youth preparing to leave the social welfare system to colleagues. The focus was on projects initiated by our Center independently and in collaboration with the Center Zvezda.

We concluded that the benefits are numerous, and it remains for us to make an effort to assist the “older children” as much as possible in the adaptation process.

We express our gratitude to the director and colleagues from the orphanage who hosted us at the council meeting.

Juče je Centar za unapređenje društva u saradnji sa supervizorom za projekat Družimo se i učimo zajedno, namenjen deci bez roditeljskog staranja, definisao izmene programa u cilju prilagođavanja životu i navikama dece iz doma Vera Radivojević u Beloj Crkvi.

Umesto individualnog rada radiće se grupno, kako bismo pokrili svih dvadesetoro mališana koji žele da nešto kreativno i zabavno rade u slobodno vreme.

Radićemo kreativne, edukativne radionice, kao i sprtske aktivnosti!

Ništa ne bi bilo moguće da se nisu uključili četvoro mladih ljudi, tačnije studenata psihologije, koji će sve dogovoreno sprovoditi u delo jednom nedeljno 12 meseci.

Defined Changes to the “Let’s Play and Learn Together” Program

Yesterday, in collaboration with the project supervisor for the “Let’s Play and Learn Together”, focused at children without parental care, the Center for Society Advancement defined modifications to the program to better align with the lives and habits of children from the Vera Radivojević institution in Bela Crkva.

Instead of individual sessions, group activities will be conducted to accommodate all twenty children who wish to engage in creative and enjoyable activities during their free time. We will organize creative, educational workshops, as well as sports activities!

None of this would be possible without the involvement of four young individuals, specifically psychology students, who will implement all agreed-upon activities once a week for a period of 12 months.

Naš “Centar za unapredjenje društva” se konstantno zalaže za neformalno obrazovanje odraslih. U okviru projekta “Širimo preduzetništvo mladih na selu”, koji smo sproveli u Obrenovcu, 40 ljudi je proslo 3 obuke: organska proizvodnja, preduzetnistvo i pisanje biznis plana. Takodje, imali su informativno predavanje o IPARD programu. Uručena su po tri sertifikata a mi nastavljamo dalje da radimo za njih kako bi obezbedili dodatne šire edukacije. Smatramo da je neformalno obrazovanje odraslih veoma značajno i korisno, te se uvek trudimo da doprinesemo ovom vidu obrazovanja u Srbiji!

Our “Center for the Improvement of Society” is constantly advocating for non-formal adult education. As part of the project “Expanding youth entrepreneurship in the countryside”, which we implemented in Obrenovac, 40 people went through 3 trainings: organic production, entrepreneurship and writing a business plan. Also, they had an informative lecture about the IPARD program. Three certificates were awarded each, and we continue to work for them to provide additional, broader education. We believe that informal education of adults is very important and useful, and we always try to contribute to this type of education in Serbia!
